Lemon Springs Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 — a community of dedicated volunteers answering the call, day and night, for Sanford and the surrounding neighborhoods.
For over five decades, Lemon Springs Volunteer Fire Department Station 2 has been the first line of defense for residents across Sanford and Randolph County. What began as a small group of concerned neighbors has grown into a disciplined, well-trained team of more than 50 volunteers.
We respond to structure fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters — often within minutes of a 911 call. Our station covers a sprawling rural and suburban corridor where every second counts, and our volunteers live close enough to answer.
Beyond emergency response, we invest heavily in fire prevention education, community outreach, and training that keeps our members — and our community — safer every single day.
Rapid response to structure fires, vehicle fires, and wildland incidents with trained crews and modern apparatus.
First response medical care, ambulance services, and coordination with regional hospitals for critical patient transport.
Inspections, code enforcement, and safety consultations for homes, businesses, and schools throughout our district.
Free fire safety workshops, CPR training, smoke alarm installations, and youth programs at schools and community events.
Vehicle extrication, confined space rescue, water rescue, and technical rescue with specialized training and equipment.
Round-the-clock emergency communications and dispatch ensuring rapid deployment of resources whenever you need us most.
We're always looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a tangible difference in their community. Whether you're interested in full firefighter training, emergency medical services, or support roles, there's a place for you at Station 2.
No prior experience is required — we provide comprehensive training at no cost. All we ask is commitment, integrity, and a willingness to show up when your community needs you.
For emergencies, always dial 911. For non-emergency inquiries, safety concerns, or to learn more about our services, reach out directly.
